This image seems to be working well so far and was set up nicely. I had a slight problem with an old one megapixel Teac screen as the top and bottom menu bars weren't visible, but a Bravia 2MP one works fine.
Don't forget to regenerate the ssh keys.
sudo /bin/rm -v /etc/ssh/ssh_host_*
sudo dpkg-reconfigure openssh-server

Nice to have the roseapple working.
I noticed the sound wasn't playing to the hdmi monitor, not sure if this was a problem I caused, but as there isn't much on the topic for the Roseapple and Mate 15.10, here is what I did to fix it (may not need all steps).
sudo apt-get install pavucontrol
To look at the audio settings, type in terminal:-
Also from the start menu use applications / sound & video / Pulse Audio Volume Control, active sound streams are in the playback tab and "atm7059_link" should be selected, not stereo.
Then I followed the steps on this useful page
This command gets the audio device list.
My HDMI was on 0,1
Test the hdmi output with
aplay -D plughw:0,1 /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Right.wav
If it works then edit the file with sudo nano /etc/pulse/default.pa
Then add to the end of the Load audio drivers statically section the statement
load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:0,1
Save and exit.
After that videos played with sound.
If they stop working then check the "atm7059_link" setting for the sound stream mentioned above.
